Summary
The Minton Boys' Home, also known as the Seaside Home, was established in Frankston in 1901. Previously, its boy residents had been housed at the Ragged School Mission in Melbourne. From 1926, the President of the Home's Committee was James Menzies, the father of future Prime Minister, R.G. Menzies. In 1943, it was renamed the Menzies Home for Boys and Girls to recognise the long period of service by James Menzies.
